Max Benjamin is an Irish family business With roots in both Belgium and Ireland, the story begins in the 1970s, when the founders' Belgian father and Irish mother settled in a remote and beautiful part of Ireland. They brought with them a classic Flemish aesthetic that would later influence the brand's elegant style.

In 1996 Orla Van den Bergh returned from New York and started handmade candles . Inspired by her childhood in the rugged nature of the Glencree Valley, and named after her twins Max and Ben, the brand was born from a love of design, craftsmanship, and enchanting fragrances .

In 2008, Orla began collaborating with her brothers, David and Mark, leading to the founding of the Irish brand Max Benjamin , named after Orla's twins. The company was born from a passion for creating beautiful, high-quality fragrance products and a desire to bring warmth and harmony into homes. Over the years, Max Benjamin has grown into a renowned family business known for its meticulous craftsmanship, innovative fragrance combinations, and elegant packaging.
